Mr Satish Kini is passionate about the need to transform
healthcare.
He strongly believes that countries like India
must evolve innovative delivery models and affordable
business models using ICT, knowledge management and people
empowerment, to make Healthcare services patient sensitive,
accessible, transparent and affordable to the vast millions
in BOP segment in these countries and the developing world.
He has over 25 years experience in Business Transformation,
Change Management, Business Process Reengineering and ERP
implementations in corporate and SME organisations in India.
Since 2001, he has been totally devoted to his mission of
transforming healthcare management.
To achieve his mission, Kini realized it was
important to first change mindsets of Medical fraternity,
healthcare providers, planners, policy makers and managers
at the helm of affairs and students of healthcare
management. Mr Kini tries to achieve this by speaking at
conventions on Healthcare by Institutes like TISS, and
Symbiosys, and National & International Symposiums on
Healthcare by Express Healthcare Management, Indian
Hospitals Association, Medical Computer Society of India,
Rotary International etc. Mr Kini has also written many
thought provoking articles and interviews on Healthcare
issues in leading business magazines as well as in
Healthcare journals like Express Healthcare Management. He
has co-authored a book titled “Solutions to Hospital
Problems” in which he has elaborated on the strategic role
of Health Informatics in
21st
Century
Healthcare.
He is the founder director of Business Process Council, a
non-profit organisation committed to institutionalise BEST
PRACTICES in various industries. He is member of the IT
committee of the Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce, Industry
and Agriculture and member of committee for MBA Healthcare
at Symbiosys Institute for Health Sciences. He is an active
member of the IIT Bombay Alumni Association.
Mr Satish Kini is B Tech from IIT Bombay (1976) and PGDBA
from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai.
