21st Century’s AIS concentrates on developing an Imaging System that will be useful for all types of hospitals and medical institutions. The prime purpose of the AIS is to improve patient care and hospital’s operations by integrating images seamlessly in the workflow.

AIS solution offered by 21st Century provides 24-hour fast access to the images from any computer in the hospital and even beyond.

Integration and IHE guidelines :

AIS can integrate all imaging modalities, whether DICOM or not, in the network. AIS is seamlessly integrated with the other systems offered by 21st Century, such as EMR, HMS and LIS. This alone increases the power of imaging multi-fold. DICOM protocol is the bulwark of AIS and it can also interact with other systems through 21st Century HL7 engine.

Scalability :

AIS is a scalable system. It can be useful to small super-specialty hospitals, and can also fulfill the requirements of large public hospitals. Radiologists and non-radiologists both find it useful, though for different reasons. It is hardware independent open system and therefore can be very easily configured onto existing servers, network.  With Enterprise connectivity that is in-built in all 21st Century  products, a smaller Centre, Hospital can look forward to Enterprise archival and 21st Century  hosted solutions for substantial cost benefit.

Omnipresence :

AIS harnesses the power of the web by offering seamless operation over Internet. It means that if you have access to Internet, you are not far from your images. Web based interface makes it possible for any authorized user on the hospital network (LAN, WAN, VPN etc.) to view the images. Web enabling also facilitates Teleradiology from residences of radiologists for emergency reporting /second opinion within the group.

iEMR :

This web enabling has a special feature called iEMR that offers best possible image viewing for Consultants / Surgeons for summary viewing. iEMR not only isolates key images with pathology but also highlights annotation / graphics for easy interpretation for the summary viewers.

Workstations and workflow ( RIS / CIS / Procedure documentation ) :

Based on latest development platforms and developed under strict Quality Assurance environment, AIS withstands the stiff demands made by the best medical institutions. AIS offers integrated diagnostic viewing stations that cover all modalities, and more importantly can be integrated with workflow modules for Radiology, Cardiology, Surgery with ease. Needless to say the efficiency improves manifolds if complete viewing, reporting and academic work of Consultants is done from one place.
